The Visitor

A coworker was telling me that an old lady pulled into his driveway on Saturday, in a large dark Cadillac.  She knocked and asked if a Betty still lived there.  He said "No, we've lived here for the last fifteen years...." and she then reached into his mailbox and checked the address/name on some mail that was in there and seemed to doubt that he was telling the truth.

He said she reluctantly left and later at night their doorbell rang for over an hour by itself intermittently until he disconnected it.

Then on Sunday morning his wife said "Did you hear those thuds in the house last night?  And that creaking?  I was terrified."

He was mad she didn't wake him.

I've asked to be kept current on any new happenings...

Someone woke up Betty!

I wrote a small messy troubled note that says "does betty live here?" and plan on dropping it on his desk somewhere.

That is creepy and awesome.

You writing the note and placing it on his desk is a great idea. I would be messing with him for a while.

I'm pretty certain I would have shoved the old lady for going through my mail.

Or shot her in the ass with a bb gun.

For the coworker have, have Bean call his desk phone in an old screechy voice asking for Betty. Then rent a black cadillac to drive to work, park next to him.

Eeeew... Creepy. As for the mail, wow.. Ballsy. I think if that certain dark caddy shows up again, her plate number needs to be taken. However, all the strange goings-on.. Yikes!!! The thuds at night?? The door bell?? I thought for sure this was a just a short, whipped up fictional story, which in and of itself was creepy enough... That fact that it's true makes it terrifying! Ugh!!!

totally true story.
he'll grow tired of me asking "anything happen last night?"
"See anything?"
"smell anything?"
"hear anything whispering from any closets?"

Old people themselves are creepy without even relizing it. Ever watch an old person eat ice cream? By far one of the creepiest things ever. Thier tongues for whatever reason can't stay in their mouths, and look like a giant slug lapping up the ice cream all slow and disgusting. Gives me chills just thinking about it
